Thirst Project is the nonprofit behind The Water Warrior Initiative!Founded in 2008 by Seth Maxwell, Thirst Project has managed to change the lives of over 650,000 people in 13 countries. They're the world's leading YOUTH water organization, working with students across the globe to aid in their fundraising efforts. We've been fundraising for them since 2023, as our founder, LuciKOH, believes wholeheartedly that water is a human right. Luci has worked alongside Thirst Project since 2019 after getting involved with another creator Initiative. In 2023, LuciKOH chose to start his own creator initiative, knowing the power behind Creators. Chill for Change was born, later renamed The Water Warrior Initiative.
We know there are tons of water organizations out there. Why did we pick Thirst Project? A few reasons: Thirst Project exclusively works with young people to fundraise. Creators tend to have audiences that are comprised of youth, and the youth are a driving force of change in the world. Especially in today's world. The youth fight for what's right, and The Water Warriors and Thirst Project have both seen that. Another reason is that 100% of all funds raised go directly to the cause. Thirst Project is funded by a generous group of people, which allows them to not take a single cent from fundraising.
We will see the end of the water crisis in our lifetimes. That I truly believe. In 2008, 1.1 BILLION people did not have access to clean water. Currently, it's above 700 million. I know, it's a daunting task. Regardless, water is a human right, and together, I believe we can put an end to the water crisis. People are always stronger together, and we're fortunate to be in places that have access to clean water mere rooms away. Unfortunately not everyone has access to it. Help us put an END to the global water crisis.
